The Czech Association for Legal and Social Philosophy (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) stands as the most significant platform in our country for legal theorists and philosophers. Our scope is not limited only to these disciplines; but reaches further to include representatives from various academic fields and professions to provide a truly encompassing view of the relevant topics.<\/p>\n

The Association is dedicated to nurturing philosophic thought in law and broadening the understanding of legal and social philosophy through close cooperation with academic and pedagogical institutions not only in the Czech Republic but also globally. Our focus on international collaboration reflects the Association’s role since its inception in the 90s as one of the national sections of the International Association for Legal and Social Philosophy (Internationale Vereinigung f\u00fcr Rechts- und Sozialphilosophie, or “IVR”).<\/p>\n

The IVR, one of the oldest global legal associations, has been consistently cultivating legal and social philosophy since it was founded in Berlin in 1909. Even today, it still holds a unique position in the world.<\/p>\n

Every two years, IVR organizes a global congress in a major university city. On a quarterly basis, it publishes the renowned journal Archiv f\u00fcr Rechts-und Sozialphilosophie.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Czech Association for Legal and Social Philosophy, as a domestic section of IVR, actively collaborates with the IVR and the national IVR sections.<\/p>\n

Our Association’s primary activities include:<\/p>\n
